Overdose Awareness Day Friday, Aug. 31

The Health District is joining several other community organizations for an event dedicated to honoring those who we've lost to overdose and supporting those affected by substance use in our community. The event will feature speakers, music, community resources and art and memorial spaces, in addition to overdose-prevention training and distribution of Narcan. Narcan is a FDA-approved nasal spray used for the emergency treatment of known or suspected opioid overdose.

Overdose Awareness Day activities will take place Friday, Aug. 31, 2-9 p.m., at Civic Center Park in Fort Collins.

The event is a community collaboration through the Larimer and Weld Naloxone Champions Work Group and is sponsored by Clearview Behavioral Health.
