Mental health and substance use talks for parents start 10/18

The Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Connections (CAYAC) team is hosting eight weeks of free informative talks on mental health and substance use topics for parents Wednesday evenings, 5:30-6:30 p.m., at the Health District of Northern Larimer County, 120 Bristlecone Drive, Fort Collins.

The talks start Oct. 18 and run through Dec. 13. Free dinner is included.

Topics include:

Oct. 18  –  Bullying
Oct. 25  –  Anxiety
Nov. 1   –  Teen sexuality
Nov. 8   –  Adolescent substance use
Nov. 15 –  Trauma
Nov. 29 –  Autism
Dec. 6   –  ADHD
Dec. 13 –  Surviving the holidays

CAYAC is a service of the Connections program, a partnership between the Health District and SummitStone Health Partners that offers answers, options, and support for mental and substance use issues.

The Health District is a public agency that provides residents of northern Larimer County with dental, mental health, and preventive health services, in addition to connecting people to more affordable health insurance and prescription options.
