Partnering for a healthier community
No one health organization owns the solution to the variety of community health issues. We partner with local organizations and fund essential health services to have the greatest overall impact. Our partnership plan ensures we invest our time, expertise and resources where they’re needed most, connecting community priorities with long-term goals. This approach helps us create meaningful, equitable change for everyone in northern Larimer County.
Events and education
Our Community Impact Team connects with local organizations, workplaces, schools and community groups to share information about the Health District’s services and resources. Through presentations, workshops and community events, they help people learn about affordable healthcare options, like dental, behavioral health, insurance coverage services and local resources—the help that can make a real difference in people’s lives.
The Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Alliance
All people in northern Larimer County across the lifespan should feel safe, resourced and have a sense of belonging. The MHSU Alliance is facilitated by the Community Impact Team at the Health District and comprises organizations and individuals in northern Larimer County who are committed to lasting positive change. Their vision is for behavioral health to be holistic, affirming, valued and resourced as an essential aspect of whole-person health.
Changing Minds
We created Changing Minds with the MHSU Alliance to tackle substance use disorder stigma. Through social media, our website, videos and events, Changing Minds helps everyone affected by substance use disorder to feel seen, valued and understood.
