Mental health speaker series offered

Connections is offering a six-week series of mental health and substance use talks for adults on Wednesdays beginning Feb. 6. All talks are free. Participants can attend single talks or the entire series. All talks are 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Health District, 120 Bristlecone Drive, Fort Collins.

  • Feb. 6 – Marijuana Policy and Enforcement in Colorado
  • Feb.13 – Older Adult Mental Health
  • Feb. 20 – Medication Assisted Treatment for Substance Use
  • Feb. 27 – Men’s Mental Health
  • March 6 – Eating Disorders
  • March 13 - Anxiety

A partnership of the Health District and SummitStone Health Partners, Connections offers answers, options, and support to individuals and families looking for help with mental health or substance use concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and drug or alcohol use. Services include needs assessment, information and referral, assistance with coordinating and navigating care, brief therapy, and connection to reduced-cost counseling.
