The Health District Family Dental Clinic is seeking a Dental Front Office Associate. The Front Office Associate is an ambassador for the Health District providing exceptional customer service. This includes greeting, registering, and scheduling patients, as well as performing other administrative functions that support operations. The position must be able to multi-task and communicate with and serve various clients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a dental or medical front desk position.
- A high level of cultural competence and ability to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, including cultural, beliefs, customs, socioeconomic status, abilities, genders and gender identities and sexualities.
- Work with and be sensitive to the needs of those with physical and mental health conditions.
- Written and oral fluency in English and Spanish language and experience providing language interpretation in a medical or dental setting strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The Front Office Associate:
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Provide comprehensive clerical support, including data entry, word processing, file creation, filing, and scanning documents.
- Handle multi-line phone system, transfer calls, manage voicemail, take accurate and complete messages, and make appropriate referrals.
- Check patients/ in and out.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments and assist walk-ins.
- Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile cash drawer.

Infection Prevention
