Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Team
“The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Team's work represents our commitment to furthering our mission to enhance the health of our community by giving everyone the opportunity to achieve their highest level of health. Everyone deserves to know that their health matters and that they will receive care that considers who they are, as well as their unique needs. As the health needs of our community continue to grow and change over time, we aim to make a more significant impact through this work to reduce people’s suffering.”
- Carol Plock, Health District Executive Director
At the Health District of Northern Larimer County, equity, diversity, and inclusion are at the core of our work in providing health services to our community. These premises are central to our vision and mission as an organization.
Our efforts to further equity, diversity, and inclusion will help us to develop better ideas to solve complex issues.
Our organization is committed to providing health services that are client centered, respectful and best support each individual to take their health into their own hands regardless of identity.
Our organization is committed to building and maintaining an affirming and more inclusive workplace for all employees.
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Team (EDIT) was formed in 2018 and has been taking action to infuse these values into the internal and external cultures of the Health District.
We know as a team and as an organization that we have considerable work to do and that this work will never truly be done. But we’re guided in our efforts to do better by our shared commitment to a future with greater dignity, inclusivity, health, and wellbeing for the community we serve.
