Requires each school district board of education and the state charter school institute to adopt and implement a policy that requires beverages for sale to students from any source to meet minimum nutritional requirements.

The Board of Directors voted to strongly support this bill.

Feb. 26
SB08-160 Raises eligibility levels for children to enroll for health care coverage through Medicaid or CHP+. The Board of Directors voted to support this bill.

SB-194 Repeals, reorganizes, and reenacts state laws concerning the establishment and operation of public health agencies.  Directs each county to create or be part of a public health agency.  Specifies duties of the State Board of Health, including the development of a comprehensive public health plan.  The Board of Directors voted to strongly support this bill.
