SB 208 Summary

Establishes a Blue Ribbon Commission of 24 members, 8 of whom are consumers, 8 of whom represent health insurance purchasers and 8 of whom represent experts and business leaders.  With technical assistance and guidance from the project administrator, the commission will examine health care coverage and reform models and select 3 to 5 specific health care coverage reform proposals. Top proposals will be submitted for technical analysis by an independent consultant.  A final report will be presented to the General Assembly on November 30, 2007.
