SB 192 Summary

Establishes an interagency task force on drunk driving to investigate methods of reducing drunk driving.  Specifies the membership of the task force.  Directs the task force to submit an annual report to the judiciary committees of the general assembly.

The task force consists of representatives from the departments of transportation and revenue,  law enforcement, the justice system including the district attorney’s office and criminal defense attorneys, and victims or victim advocates.  The bill has no funding for the task force so there is no fiscal note.  The task force is required to meet bi-monthly. Finally, the bill dissolves the task force July of 2011.
