A special thank you to United Way 2-1-1 Volunteer Center of Larimer County for providing a great deal of assistance with volunteer recruitment and especially for donating the Make a Difference Day Website, making this online sign-up system possible.

LARIMER FIGHTS THE FLU

H1N1 (Swine Flu) Mass Vaccination Clinics

Worker Sign-up Website

Thank you for visiting the worker sign-up website for the 2009 Larimer Fights the Flu: H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinics.

The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment will hold mass vaccination clinics for H1N1 influenza. These clinics will begin in late October and likely continue into December at several locations around Larimer County. Vaccine will be provided free to the people most at risk in our community. At first, only certain people in priority groups will be eligible for H1N1 vaccine, but eventually the vaccine may be available to all.

Currently licensed or certified medical professionals or nursing or medical students who are interested in filling a clinical position.

If you are interested in helping with a variety of other positions that do not require medical education or experience.

That’s where you come in. We need your help to make this happen. Free vaccination clinics would not be possible without the help of the community.

The Health District of Northern Larimer County is assisting the Health Department in finding the right people to help at these clinics. We need many people with many different skills to pitch in and help. Some positions require clinical training or medical or nursing degrees. But there also are many opportunities for others who do not have any special medical training. All you need is to be willing and able to help.

Please see the information at left or click one of the buttons above to learn more about the clinics and opportunities for you to participate. We are currently looking to staff the following clinics:

Sunday, January 10, at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, 11:30 am - 4:30 pm

Other clinic dates may open up soon depending on vaccine supply and public demand. Please check this website often if you would like to sign up for additional clinics. Also, even the currently open clinics may be cancelled or need fewer workers based on the vaccine supply and public demand. You will be notified as soon as possible if you are affected by any such changes.

We hope that you will sign up for open clinics and shifts now and join this extraordinary community effort. To sign up, please follow the online instructions. We will ask you to select the position(s) that interest you and then to select the dates and shifts of clinics when you can help.

If you have any questions or need help signing up, please contact Jen Ramsey at h1n1clinic@healthdistrict.org or
970-530-2738.
